From Baikonur to Grenoble, passing through the United States, Asia, India, Russia or Norway, the artist travels the planet in order to confront new spaces and territories, as a quest without limit to the pursuit of these imaginary worlds.
Photographer of the marvelous, but not the sensational, Vincent Fournier thus proceeds to the methodical exploration of these almost virtual places, so much they seem elusive and distant. The vernacular architectures of the machine or astronaut training rooms thus depict a mechanical and robotic world, where interconnected cables and networks face natural or marvelous landscapes, desolate or dizzying.
This exploration proves once again that the gateway to this elsewhere, so idealized, remains for Man a source of eternal wonder.
