Faithful to its mission of supporting creation, the Bullukian Foundation is setting up an exceptional support fund, endowed with 100,000 €, for artists and promotion structures in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region whose projects are directly weakened by the Covid-19 crisis.
The Bullukian Foundation’s support fund for the Creation is an emergency fund, set up to maintain a project or activity in the field of visual arts, impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
This emergency fund helps support the activity of artists or professional artists’ collectives (visual artists, photographers, designers, author-illustrators) living or working in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, who were developing a creative project and/or production in connection with a promotion structure in France, stopped by the crisis.
This fund also aims to help associative structures for the promotion of visual arts, active in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, which implement an annual program as well as actions of mediation and public awareness.
Following the call for projects broadcast from June 22 to July 27, 2020, the Bullukian Foundation received 39 applications from artists and distribution structures active in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, for a total amount of applications amounting to 290 € 268.
On October 8, 2020, a jury made up of six personalities qualified in the field of visual arts met in Lyon to examine the application files. At the end of the deliberations, the members of the jury proposed to support 22 cases for a total amount of 100,000 €.
Sixteen artists (including two collectives) and eight distribution structures will thus be supported by the Bullukian Foundation in maintaining and carrying out their projects.
